Ringmore is a South Hams rural and coastal parish of approximately 1,110 acres. It includes a small group of houses at Marwell and part of the shoreline village of Challaborough where the hinterland supports a caravan park. Ringmore village spreads partway down a separate valley that looks westward to Ayrmer Cove and the English Channel. Much of this coastline, land and an extensive acreage stretching inland are owned by the National Trust. A large part of the parish, which lies within the South Hams ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, has been designated as a conservation area.
Your Parish Council comprises of councillors who serve a four year term. Usually meetings are held monthly, together with an Annual Meeting at which the Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected.
The dates of meetings for the coming year are shown on the Agendas & Minutes page. Agendas are posted on the noticeboards and on the website at least three days before each meeting and the venue is the WI hall. The public are invited and welcome to attend the meetings.
